Milford Tigers is the first club in Wales to deliver the Swim Wales Advanced Swimming Skills Framework.
This gives our swimmers a standard National assessment framework to guide and measure their swimming progress.
With 5 levels of achievement and Swim Wales certificates on completion, swimmers will enhance their technique in the four strokes, starts, turns and finishes, dives and distance badges up to 5000m.
This framework gives parents and swimmers clarity on what they are working on and what skills are important to develop, motivating swimmers to progress through the levels and improve their skills.
All assessment outcomes in Learn to Swim Wales have been designed to ensure the physical needs of the participants are met and developed. This follows the principles of the Athlete Development Support Pathway (LTAD) including Physical Literacy skills and cross curricular skill development opportunities
Learn to Swim Wales is an assessment and awards Framework supported by the Welsh Assembly Government, which was devised by Swim Wales in association with Sport Wales and leisure providers.
